May 24, 2012- Macy's at Oxmoor Center will be hosting their Wacoal Fit For the Cure Day from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Wacoal invites women around the country to join the fight against breast cancer. A Wacoal fit specialist will help you determine your true bra size. For every woman who participates, Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to help fund breast cancer research and community outreach projects. (No purchase necessary). After determining your correct size, the fit specialists will help you find perfect bras for all your different moods, styles, and fashions. As an added bonus, Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. June 5, 2012 - Race Registration Kickoff Breakfast from 7:00am to 9:00am at Oxmoor Center. Oxmoor Center is a proud sponsor of the Race Kickoff event and the 2012 Komen Louisville Race for the Cure. You have questions we have answers. Come and enjoy a continental breakfast and learn about what is in store for Race 2012. There will be information on getting your family, friends, or co-workers together and forming a Team, learn the difference between registering as a Team or Individual, navigating the online Registration and Participant Center, fundraising tips from our top fundraising team in 2011, and meet the Komen Louisville 2012 Race Committee, Staff, and our new Executive Director.

June 9, 2012 - The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Tissue Bank based out of the IU Simon Cancer Center will be having a Breast Tissue Collection Event at the Norton Cancer Institute (Downtown). As healthy women can contribute to breast cancer research. The collection is focusing on women over the age of 70 and/or African American, Latina, and other ethnicities. September 15, 2012 - The 8th Annual Komen Louisville Pink Tie Ball gets HOT for a cause on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, presented by ICAP. This elegant black-tie (pink tie encouraged) gala is the premiere fundraisers for the Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The ever popular Pink Lounge will be the place to be and be seen. Since our first Pink Tie Ball in 2005, this event has raised over $1 Million to support Komen Louisville’s mission of outreach, education, screening, treatment, and research. This HOT pink evening will begin with cocktails and a silent auction at 6:30 followed by dinner and a live auction. Guests will enjoy signature cocktails and dance the night away to the sounds of Burning Las Vegas. The Pink Lounge (an after dinner ticket) will open at 9:00pm. A glamorous evening at the Pink Tie Ball is truly a night to remember as we honor and support those who bravely fight this battle each day of their lives. Tickets go on sale June 1, 2012.
