There are several ways to raise funds for Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, including sponsoring a fundraiser, participating in an event such as the Race for the Cure, or through Community Health Charities of Kentucky which allows you to give through your employer.

Komen for the Cure by participating in a workplace giving campaign at your place of employment if your employer participates in Community Health Charities?
What is Community Health Charities?
CHC raises funds on behalf of its members (health agencies) for medical research, public education, and patient support services. Through Community Health Charities, employees can touch the lives of people they know and love and at the same time help someone they have never met. Funds are raised through a workplace giving campaign.
Just as United Way and the Fund for the Arts raises funds for community-based organizations and arts organizations, CHC raises funds to support health charities, including the Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Employers participating in Community Health Charities make it possible for employees to make payroll gifts specifically to Komen Louisville. Do you work for the federal government?
Komen Louisville participates in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). When completing your employee-giving pledge form you may designate your donation to go to Komen Louisville by providing the Komen Louisville CFC ID number: 91443.
Do you work for Kentucky state government?
Komen Louisville participates in the Kentucky Employee Charitable Campaign (KECC). To designate your donation to go to Komen Louisville, simply write in Komen Louisville on your employee-giving pledge form.
Does your workplace offer a Community Health Charities campaign?
If you aren’t sure, ask your human resources director or contact the CHC office at 502.261.8327. If your employer does offer a CHC campaign, then you may designate your gift to go to the Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure by writing, “Komen Louisville.”
What if my employer does not participate in Community Health Charities?
If your employer does not participate in CHC, then your payroll gift will not get to Komen Louisville, even if you write in our name.
How can I help launch a Community Health Charities campaign at my workplace?
Contact CHC or the Komen Louisville office. Once an employer sees how easy it is and that this is the only way to allow employees to designate their gifts to these health-related causes, it is usually simply a matter of implementation.
